What is Hard Water?

Hard water is dissolved rock comprised primarily of calcium and magnesium. As it enters your home  through the water supply it leaves a sediment deposit on your plumbing fixtures, inside appliances and binds with soap forming an insoluble soap curd causing soap scum and dry skin.
